Best Gas Tankless Water Heaters

There are a variety of tankless water heaters that you can choose from.  Sure, you could purchase a lower priced tankless water heater that works for a few months or years and then quits. However, if you want the best gas tankless water heaters you need to know which brands to shop for.  The best brands and models of gas tankless water heaters that you can buy are the Bosch Aquastar and Takagi tankless water heaters.

The Bosch Aquastar models provide you with the best features for the price.  The Bosch Aquastar 2700 ES can provide you with enough hot water in order to run many different hot water appliances in your home.  For example, you can run a dish washer, shower, and more using the same gas tankless hot water heater.  Unlike a traditional hot water heater, you can have a endless supply of hot water for your shower or other hot water appliances.  One of the best things about this is that you do not need to run your gas bill up using energy that you do not need.  Instead, the Bosch Aquastar will only use energy when you are using the hot water in the tank.  Other than that, your water will remain warm, but it will truly warm up when you need it most.  Bosch will supply you a constant supply of hot water and only turn on when you are using it!

While the Bosch Aquastar is a great model for people who need a large solution for their hot water problem.  Takagi gas tankless water heaters are great for people who either want a large or a small tankless hot water heater.  Takagi has been in the business of water heaters since 1952.  That means that they know exactly what you will need to provide hot water for your home.  Takagi tankless water heaters are both large and small enough to work in any home, apartment or condominium.  The Takagi tankless hot water heater also does not cost as much as the Bosch Aquastar models.  You do not need to worry about how much gas you will use, as the Takagi models are very energy efficient, sometimes even more so than the models that Bosch offers.

Another thing that is important to consider when you are dealing with a tankless water heater is how much water you are using.  The large model of the Bosch Aquastar can provide you with a large quantity of water that is great for taking a shower and running multiple appliances at the same time.  However, if you are living by yourself, or do not need to run many appliances at the same time, the Takagi tankless water heaters can provide you with the hot water that you need in order to take a shower, run your dishwasher or simply wash your hands.

Getting the Best Deal from Your Gas Supplier

Gas for domestic or business use is bought wholesale by the array of suppliers operating within the UK market and then distributed to households or commercial premises via these suppliers. Gas bills are calculated on the basis of how many units of energy are consumed, usually alongside a standing charge. Gas meters measure the volume of gas used in cubic feet or cubic metres and the gas companies convert this into kilowatt hours.

Among the wide range of energy suppliers there is an equally wide range of gas prices, which are organised through an array of pricing plans. These plans provide a different set of benefits to different consumers, depending on the energy needs of the business or household.

Most suppliers offer standard or default plans but there are a range of specialist structures with their own system for determining gas prices, such as green plans, which are designed to mitigate climate change; fixed plans, which freeze the price of a unit of energy for a certain period; capped plans, where gas prices won’t rise for a set period but can be reduced if prices fall; online plans, which allow households to sign up via the internet and manage their accounts online; business energy plans tailor-made for commercial gas and electricity consumption; and social plans, which are equal to an energy provider’s cheapest deal and which they are obliged to provide to help the poorest households pay their bills.

Since 1999 all UK consumers of gas and electricity consumers have the right to switch their supply to any of the regulated gas providers in the market, allowing households to move on if their gas supply becomes unacceptably expensive or service standards fall below an acceptable level. Many customers have saved up to £425 a year by simply switching supplier.

The process of switching supplier is less complicated than people think and is completely free when using some price comparison websites. All gas suppliers use the same supply lines, wires and meters and when a customer informs them that they wish to switch to them, they are obliged to contact the old supplier themselves and arrange the transfer. If the switch goes according to plan, then the only difference that the customer will notice should be a new supplier’s name and logo on the bill – and cheaper  gas.

Best ways to Save your Money on your Electricity Bills

Do you have a question like this: I don’t use electrical appliances very often, why do I have to pay so much for electricity? The answer is that you don’t understand how much power your electrical appliances consume. This is very surprising that a toaster would use 1000watts per hour while a laptop would use only 75 watts for the same period of time. Other appliances that consume a lot of power includes cookers, electric showers and electric kettle (which is more than 2000watts per hour).Although sometimes you have to use these appliances, there is still way to low down the electricity consumption.

Heating

* Turn the heating thermostat down by just one degree can save up to 10 % of your electricity bill.

* Buy heavy curtains to keep the heat inside and close them at night. This can prevent the 25% heat that escaped when not glazed.

* Do not boil water hotter than 60 degrees C or 140 degrees F.You will need to blend with cold water to drink it.This is a big waste of energy.

* Insulate hot water tanks and pipes. Up to 75 % of heat in tank will lose due to lack of insulation.

Cooling

* Freezers and fridges account for up to 33% of the electricity bill. Ensure that the metal grids and coils at the back have enough space for air to circulate so as to keep them efficient. Also they should be kept dust-free.

* Defrost freezers when the thickness of ice reaches 5mm.

* Promptly replace door seals when they are damaged .

* In USA, air-conditioning accounts for 14 percent of the electricity bill. You can take off your jacket and raise the degree of air-conditioning. This could save a lot of electricity.

Light

* Use energy-saving light bulbs.(11 watts an hour) Traditional light bulbs use 80% of the energy making heat, not light.

* Do not use up-lighters because they use high wattage bulbs.

* Turn off the light when you are out of the area. This does not shorten the life of a light bulb. Strip lighting can also safely be turned off and on.

Cooking

* Ovens with fan use less electricity.

* Slow Cookers use very little energy.

* Only boil the amount of water that you need in the kettle. By filling the kettle with 1 cup of white vinegar and 2 cups of water, the kettle would not have lime scale. The lime scale affects the heat conduction when boiling water. This would use more energy if there is lime scale. Leave to stand overnight. Rinse carefully and throw away the first lot of boiled water.

Washing

* Wash your clothes with the washing machine until you have a full load.

* Cold wash anything if it is not marked with grease or heavily soiled.

* Clean lime scale in your washing machine regularly if you live in a hard water area. First put 200ml of white vinegar in the detergent tray. Then run the machine on wash cycle. The lime scale will be cleaned up. Do this every two or three months to keep the efficiency of the washing machine.

* Do not use tumble dryers too often. This is because 40% of the power is used on stand-by. Turn them down when you are not using them.

Another solution – make power at home

Instead of worrying about the big number in your electricity bills, you can do something very aggressive. That is making power at home. This is no longer expensive to setup solar power system and wind generators at home because you can do it yourself. This would just cost you $200 to $400.If you are interested, go to the following site to learn more.

Get the Best Fuel Economy to Reduce Your Gas Bill

You think it can’t get any worse, but each trip to the filling station you see a higher price posted on the sign. One tank now sets you back a ridiculous sum of money. Is there any way to fight back? Many Americans are quickly realizing their first line of defense is to achieve the best fuel economy possible.

America’s guzzling of gasoline has many negative consequences. Not only does it serve to quickly drain your bank account, it does so to the wealth of the entire nation. Being a net exporter of oil, America essentially is draining its national treasury by sending hundreds of billions of dollars abroad. One noted financial expert recently asserted that it was the greatest transfer of wealth the earth has ever seen.

Most associated with the oil patch do not see things changing. Peak oil is upon us with most of the easily accessed reserves tapped. New supply must come from highly remote and difficult environments. Many include politically sensitive areas like Anwar and the intercontinental shelf.

Exploration in such places is highly expensive. Proven reserves mostly reside in places which entail international political risk. Many of America’s entanglements arose from necessity of a free flow of oil. Even with increased crude oil supply, our nation’s refineries are inadequate to meet increasing demand. A new one hasn’t been built in over thirty years.

The burning of fossil based fuels also releases massive amounts of carbon into the atmosphere. The more carbon based fuels we burn, the worse it becomes. Inefficient, low mileage vehicles are great contributors to this phenomenon which is called global warming. So, with all these problems, are there solutions?

Increased efficiency through higher mileage is universally recognized as a positive step. Many options are currently available in the marketplace. Most simple is just to make the car smaller. Smaller cars obviously get better mileage. Also available are hybrids which increase efficiency through a recharging battery.

On the horizon are other cutting edge solutions. One is a hydrogen fuel cell. With this technology, it is theoretically possible for us to run our cars on water. If not fully, others are exploring mixing this technology with the combustion engine to increase mileage obtained up to fifty percent.

Whichever the solution, the time has come. With skyrocketing gas prices most of us do not have a choice. There are many options to explore to seek the best fuel economy possible. Your bank account and planet both depend on it.

Times like these and every one is looking for the best fuel economy. To find out more, check out WaterFuel.
